  FROM THE AUTHOR OF THIS BLOG: Dear Reader,  this story came to be unexpectedly and "accidentally" - but then I've seen too many synchronicities in my life to believe in "accidents". I'd had to do with ghosts before, as you may find out by googling the name "Michelsbaude." This time it was a social-media post about the birth anniversary of an actress who seemed strangely familiar and was described as being "Polish-British." Being Polish myself, I was intrigued and start googling. Things looked weird from the very outset. Who flees from Nazi Germany to England via Poland in 1937? And who's ever heard of a German-Russian noble called "Petrov"?
